Bullseye Activewear and Promotions Celebrates 25 Years
One of Ohio’s leading suppliers of screen printing, embroidery and promotional products, Bullseye Activewear and Promotions is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
Bullseye started out like many small businesses: as a home-based business. The continued growth and success of the company is directly linked to the background and drive of the founders – Jim and Susan Heiser. Jim studied graphics in high school at CVCC in Brecksville, then earned a college degree in Graphic Communications Management and Technologies. Jim worked at a leading commercial offset printer in Cleveland for 14 years, beginning as an estimator and ultimately became the production manager, customer service supervisor and scheduler for a 3 shift, 100 employee operation. He then used his commercial printing industry knowledge to start Bullseye with his wife Susan in 1992.
Bullseye quickly outgrew its home-based roots and moved to Brunswick to expand their operation. A move to the Brunswick Industrial Park in 2011 gave the company even more space, allowing room for a showroom, spacious offices. A retro 50’s style break room, conference room, climate-controlled embroidery room and the space to upgrade to a 12 color, automatic screen printing press. Increased orders spurred expansion plans. Soon a 4,200 square foot addition will increase their space to 11,000 square feet.
“We offer our customers a wide range of promotional products and print services. Custom screen printed or embroidered apparel is our specialty. We listen to our customers’ needs and help them through the production process. We have the knowledge, experienced staff and business relationships to help with all types of marketing, branding and uniform needs,” states Jim Heiser, VP of Operations. This year’s addition of two cutting edge, 15 color, multi-head embroidery machines helps illustrate their continued commitment to the latest technologies.
Bullseye is proud to service local businesses, schools, churches, Fortune 500 companies and even professional sports teams. Bullseye was thrilled to be trusted to provide Championship shirts for both the Cleveland Cavaliers and Cleveland Indians this year! The staff worked through the night after the wins, so retailers could have championship inventory on their shelves the next day. Jim and Susan praise their entire staff. “We wouldn’t be able to produce the quantities needed and meet the deadlines necessary without a great dedicated staff,” says Jim.
